Math III Welcome

Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome to the 2nd semester of the 2017-2018 school year at Charles B. Aycock High School.  I am very excited about having your child in my class this semester.

Here are some things you and your child will need to know in order for this semester to be a successful one.

Class Materials:

  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Pencils
  • Four AAA batteries
  • One box of tissue
  • One bottle of hand sanitizer
  • OPTIONAL: TI-84 Graphing Calculator (great for home use)

Progress reports are given every three weeks.  Parents should sign their child’s progress report each time.  You may also access your child’s grade through PowerSchool.  If you do not have the PowerSchool login and password please let me know and I can get it for you.

I am available on Monday afternoons from 3:05-3:45 to give additional help to those students who may need it.  Students can also make up missed work during this time.  This day may change if something comes up in my schedule.

Classroom Rules:

  • Bring all necessary materials to class every day.
  • Be in your seat working on the warm-up when the tardy bell rings.
  • Be recognized before speaking and leave your seat only with permission.
  • Show respect and be polite to all people.
  • Respect other people’s property.
  • No food or beverages are allowed in the classroom.
  • Students should not have their cell phones out in the classroom unless being used for academic purposes.
  • Any work being turned in should be done in pencil.  If something is turned in done in pen 5 points will be deducted from its grade.
  • If you are absent it is your responsibility to find out what you missed and to make up all assignments including notes.
