The AP Chemistry course is designed to be the equivalent of the general chemistry course usually taken during first year of college. The textbook used in this course is college-level. Prerequisites are successful completion of Honors Chemistry and Honors Algebra II/Math 3. As there are a great number of topics covered in this course, it is strongly recommended that students dedicate at least five hours per week to studying their notes, reviewing the text, and going over additional homework problems.
